🇬🇧 As a pacifist born in 1949 right after the Second World War in a devastated Japan, Tetsuo Harada grew with a deep-seated desire for peace. While he was student in Tokyo he participated many anti-war protests and throughout his artistic career, he was often deeply emotionally affected by wars happening near and far. As a result many of his artwork talk about war, violence, sometimes with ambiguity, associated with passion.
🇯🇵 第二次世界大戦直後の荒廃した日本で生まれ、平和主義者として育った原田哲男は、平和への深い願いを抱きながら成長しました。彼は東京の学生時代に多くの反戦抗議活動に参加し、芸術家としてのキャリアを通じて、近くや遠くで起こる戦争によく深い感情的影響を受けました。その結果、彼の多くの作品は戦争、暴力、時には曖昧さを伴い、情熱と関連付けて語っています。
🇫🇷 Étant né pacifiste en 1949, juste après la Seconde Guerre mondiale dans un Japon dévasté, Tetsuo Harada a grandi avec un désir profondément enraciné pour la paix. Alors qu'il était étudiant à Tokyo, il a participé à de nombreuses manifestations anti-guerre. Tout au long de sa carrière artistique, il a souvent été profondément ému par les guerres se déroulant près et loin. En conséquence, beaucoup de ses œuvres parlent de guerre, de violence, parfois avec ambiguïté, associées à la passion.
